Overview

DNA testing compares specific regions of the genome — called markers — between two or more people. Where those markers match, and how often that pattern occurs in the wider population, is what produces a statistical conclusion.

The main stages

  1. Consultation. We confirm which test answers your question and who needs to provide a sample.
  2. Collection. Most cases use a simple cheek swab. Legal and official matters require identity-verified collection.
  3. Laboratory analysis. Analysis is performed by qualified, accredited laboratory partners. KINORA GENETICS does not own or operate a laboratory.
  4. Reporting. You receive a written report explaining the markers compared and the statistical result.

What the numbers mean

A paternity report often shows a probability such as 99.99% or higher for an inclusion, or 0% for an exclusion. These figures come from comparing the observed marker pattern against population frequency data.

Before you order

Write down what decision the result needs to support. A personal answer and an official answer can use the same biology but very different collection procedures.
