Typical requirements

  • Collection performed by an approved, independent collector — not at home
  • Government-issued photo identification for each participant
  • Documented chain of custody from collection to the laboratory

  • Results delivered directly to the authority, applicant, or representative as instructed

International participants

When one participant is outside Canada, collection is coordinated with a local collection facility so that both samples enter the same documented process. Timelines depend on courier and local scheduling, so start early.
