Before packaging

Confirm every swab or item is fully air dried and that each donor's material is in its own labelled paper envelope with the correct name and date.

Paperwork

Include the completed consent and information forms. Missing signatures are a frequent cause of delay, because analysis cannot begin without them.

Packaging

Place the sealed envelopes into the return mailer supplied with your kit. Do not add plastic wrap, tape over the envelopes, or ice packs — DNA samples are shipped at room temperature.

Sending

Use the tracked return method provided and keep the tracking number. Avoid posting immediately before a long weekend where possible.

Legal collections

For legal and official tests, the collector handles packaging and dispatch under chain-of-custody procedure. You do not ship anything yourself.
