Why appearance is unreliable
Separate placentas do not prove fraternal twins, and similar looks do not prove identical twins. DNA comparison is the direct way to answer the question.
How it works
Marker profiles from both twins are compared. Identical (monozygotic) twins share essentially the same profile; fraternal (dizygotic) twins differ at multiple markers, like any siblings.

Collection
Standard cheek swabs from both twins are sufficient for a personal test. Analysis is performed by qualified, accredited laboratory partners.
