Appointments
Each participant is booked at our Richmond centre or with an independent collector near them.

Identity-verified collection
Photo ID is checked, samples are collected under witness, sealed and documented.

Laboratory analysis
Samples travel under chain of custody to an accredited laboratory partner.

Report release
The report is released to the authorised recipients agreed at the start of the case.
Samples
Sample types that may be considered
Cheek swabs are the standard collection method. Other sample types may be considered case by case; DNA recovery from non-standard samples can never be guaranteed.
Cheek swab
The standard sample for legal testing, collected by an independent collector.
Photo identification
Each adult presents valid photo ID; a guardian consents for a minor.
Non-standard samples
Items such as hair or toothbrushes are not suitable for chain-of-custody legal testing.
